TTT - 3 Top Guitar Solos

in Music5 months ago (edited)

Hello Hive Music Lovers!,

Welcome to another #threetunetuesday created originally by @ablaze.

We are in the middle of christmas and whilst many are listening to the many christmas songs, I have been checking out some cool guitar rifts and thought I would share 3 of my favorites.

You really can't beat some good guitar work and it was tough to select just 3 from the many good ones, but I gave it a try.

The first tune is probably the most well known, not only for the guitar rift, but I remember the piano exit from the film Goodfellas. Probably one of the best gangster movies made and starring the super cool Ray Liota. The Piano Exit is a great finish to the song, but the guitar work by Eric Clapton to start is pretty awesome.

It is so unique and I remember it so well from my youth that any top 3 guitar solos need to include it.

Eric Clapton - Layla

An easy choice for the great guitar work is from the legendary Jimi Hendrix. One of my favorite tunes and with some great guitar work to boot. All Along The Watchtower is some pure class and the song just doesn't get old.

When he is playing, he makes it look so easy, but I am sure it isn't. Pure music to my ears.

Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower

The final tune we slow it down for an amazing guitar solo and so mesmerising. Perfect to listen at this time of year when you are slowing down and reflecting on your year gone by and thinking about what you want to do for the next.

For me it is one of the most emotional ones and reminds me of people I care about and good times together.

Santana - Samba Pa Ti

That wraps up my #ttt for this week. I hope you are having great festive period and you are listening to some great tunes! What guitar rifts do like the most? Let me know in the comments!

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday.... to quote @ablaze :

The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize.

Great selection. My long time favourite is from Tornado of Souls a modernish bit of metal!

Very nice guitar 🎸 solo. I turned up the volume, then my wife started complaining.

I liked your selection, I choose Mr Clapton as my favourite one. But the best guitar player of history for me is Paco de Lucía. This is a master piece:

Wow, that is some fantastic guitar work! I didnt hear about him before. Thanks for sharing.

That's great yes. But this guy is also amazing :) Jorma Kaukonen (ex Jefferson Airplane)

Humm I didn’t know him, you’re right about his talent but I don’t change my election. 😁
(Sorry for my delay, I had a hard flu).

I have too :(

Oh, I hope you are better now. I’m recovering but slowly. 😔

I'm better and hope you so.

The second one is definitely my favourite! I admire the electrifying performance of Jimi Hendrix, the rhythm is wonderful :)

I really love that tune too! You cant beat Jim Hendrix tbh!

The last one! Guitar tune is the best one, you are true that it is perfect to listen. It is good for listening in these days when one thing is ending and another one is starting.

Thanks. You cant beat some good guitar music.

You choose awesome songs for TTT. All guitars are extraordinary. 🎶

Thanks man! Im glad you liked them! They are pretty amazing!

They're timeless classics. 🎶

Some classic choices this week buddy.

Are you really fond of tunes? Or do you also listen to lyrical songs?

Thanks, yeah I do like lyrical tunes too.

Nice selection of songs! I actually like the fast version of Layla better than the slow version. I know a lot of people prefer the unplugged version.

Thanks, I can listen to both versions tbh. But I do like the unplugged version.

Difficult choice, Clapton uses some guitar techniques to generate an atmosphere of great emotion, because of the busy and exhausting these days I prefer the tranquility that Santana transmits in this guitar solo.

I think I agree with you, if you want to relax and chill, Santana really rocks it.

All excellent choices. I love all three!
!DHEDGE

Thanks. It was a hard choice but they are great on their own.

Santana dressed like Michael Jackson, lol
The three tunes are nice
I love them!

Thanks. I am glad you liked them.

3 classics there buddy. Eric Claptons guitar playing is underrated

Thanks. It is for sure underrated, he has some skill.

Wow, all three of your choices are the artists that I admire as well with their guitar solo. But if I had to choose just one, my pick would be Eric Clapton.

That's a good choice, he has many great guitar solos under his belt.

Yes, that's true.

I loved the three solos. I had heard Santana's and Jimmy's, the other one is great. Great guitar players. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. They are all pretty good and worth listening 🎧

All three tunes were good.
I stayed quiet long enough to listen to these tunes🎵🎶

Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed them.

hmmm as usual dont think i ever heard these before. i think i like the last guitar solo the best out of the there o.o but thats just me hopefully didnt roast any legenadry guitar people if there was on the first two

Haha yeah, all 3 are pretty legendary!

o.o oops well they are all good :P i just hought the third one was the best

Wow bro, your three recommendations are amazing, although I've always preferred Santana, I don't know if it's because I have Latin blood in my veins hehe. Samba pa ti has one of the best guitar solos ever and shows his greatness. The Clapton song if I didn't know it, but its sound is captivating, it's a video that I recommend to watch until the end and it has caught my attention to see more of his music. Hendrix is the king, I know a lot of his music and sometimes we play him at home, although strangely I don't have a single song of his downloaded, so this post was necessary to appreciate him a little more. Thank you very much for sharing this music brother, I did go more trite and focused on the end of the year haha. And thanks for introducing me to #threetunetuesday with your posts, this has become one of my favorite spaces in Hive...

Thanks, I am glad you liked them. They are some artists I like to hear when I want some good guitar music. 🎸

It is great to see you participating in #ttt. It is a fun community and we love to appreciate different music each week! I love how you also include some of your own covers too. 🎸💪

Nailed it with these legends of the guitar Steve
Now though I have layla running in my head lol
Merry Christmas Steve, hope you had a fun time

Thanks Ed. It has been a nice and relaxing time. I hope you have had a good one too.
