Despise not modest beginnings, the acorn that will become oak, the first stumbling strides of a youngster who will run marathons. We are too hasty to dismiss. which has not yet established itself, too impatient to assess the seed by capacity instead than by size.
Despise not the struggling student. the ineffective artist, the impoverished businessman couch-slumbering Late bloomers abound in history. everyone penned off before they at last bloomed: Einstein was deemed slow and Disney fired. Do not despise your modest beginnings. your speech, your ancestry the community that helped to mould you Into something beyond comfort could.
Those roots are profoundly ingrained. transporting foods you would need if you grow tall enough to confront strong winds. Do not loathe the one you were yesterday, that version was trying their hardest. considering their knowledge.
Growing calls us begin somewhere not quite perfect, somewhere we will reflect on with muted modesty and covert pride. Do not disparage the broken ones, the beginning, the almost-trying, the beginning just-getting-started, the still-not-there- yet.
Every oak once was smiled upon for being small, each marathon runner Once had difficulty traversing a room.
