Art: Isometric Squid Speed-Art

Good morning! (Although I'm writing this at night.) Well, it's been a long day, this one took me too long. I'm not as focused at 9 pm as I am at 7 am. This is the timelapse video for my isometric squid-kid. Perhaps the techniques will inspire some of the artists around here!

The Giant Squid!

It can be 13 m (43 ft), can cannibalize other squid, fights hungry whales and has a beak of extremely hard material. I even read somewhere that the giant squid has little spiky needles on each of its sucky cups, which can scar the whales that dare to battle it. This stupid jerk has been known to keep me up late at night, as I try in vain to find and reiterate interesting facts about this squishy deep-sea gangsta — so my post has an air of intelligence.

Thanks as always for dropping by!

Hoping to bust out a bunch of posts today, last week worked out pretty well! I still find I spend a lot of time on Steemit, but it's mad fun keeping up with everyone ☺(Almost everyone?)

Some of you have requested extra squids, but I'm very busy and will have to do that later!

Damn that's the shit.. I can barely make a meme.. I could potentially draw that (poorly) but wouldn't even know where to start digitally.. to bad those needles don't stab and poke all the BS spammers your post is gonna attract..

When I started, I didn't even know how to turn a computer on :) Trial and error and lots of practice!

THe best thing about having my SP back will be being able to flag these dopes! (and upvoting comments ☺)

It was worth the time spent. I'm fascinated by these giant things as well. I saw a doco once where they had a dead one and it was huge. I'd hate to encounter one, poor whales.

I think it's the sperm whale's favourite food. So it's tough for the squid too :O

It is so much fun to watch the design unfold! Very cool creature too!

I figure it adds a lot of interest to do a quick write up/photo, but I'm a very hasty and uninterested researcher ☺

I'm working on the sea dragon today :)

I love to be a deep sea gangsta, hahaha
Have a wonderful day

He needs sunglasses and gold teeth haha...

extraordinary

It's great to be able to comment on your post overkillcoin. An interesting giant squid, a few days ago you made a squid contest that was given a name for the winner. Are you no longer fighting over this giant squid?

The fight is over and the squid won!

But really, I may make another few squids for people when I have the time. Many people were sad when I closed the contest.

This is amazing. Very good idea. I will join the giant squid contest. Until the name of the squid icon

That's a very creative work Sir @overkillcoin and I see that it really is a tedious and painstaking work to produce that masterpiece of a digital art. And thank you again regarding your donations God Bless you Sir.

Thanks cryptopie, I'm glad people like this one, but I was a bit surprised, I gave away a plain one, but a lot would like to have their names on them.

Always glad to help friend!

nice title..
engineering word.

Good luck with the content front today bro ✊🏿

I'm going to have a rough one, I have client work too, so it may be rocky ☺

Hey, as long as you are getting to the bag haha!!

Yikes I definitely like the pencil sharpener version better than the real life stupid jerk version 😖🦑 even if it’s lying on a bbq grill...

Calamari on the barbecue!

(And sharper pencils for all?)

Your drawing is sensational....that species is downright scary.

I never knew about that. You learn something new everyday on steemit. Makes me want to stay out of the water now.

Another great piece of work...you are a true craftsman.

I guess there's an actual vampire squid, but I draw the line there. Or, really, I don't draw the line there, because I don't want to depict that crazy thing ☺

Thanks TM, getting faster at these as well... shortcuts are relieving a lot of the pressure I've put on myself.

An increasing STEEM and BTS price will also help relieve some pressure too.

I can see where he was a pain in the ass to create. The damn tenticales in the beginning ugh.
Who knew that those things are actually tough? I thought they aimlessly swam around the bottom eating stuff off the sea floor and hiding. Hmmmm. Respect to the thugged out squid. 👌🏼
: )

Yep! There was a lot of detailed work that I could have shortened, but bad planning did me in :O

Supposedly the squid beak is the hardest biological matter in existence... Creeeeeepy. And when I learned about the spiked sucky cups, it ruined my morning haha...

Must be like having a boxing match with a giant block of gelatin ☺

Wow what a giant squid over there!!! Yuuum!!

Would eating a giant squid be like eating a tire from a car? Haha... But yes, you have the right idea!

Haha i'd love to fuckin grill that and eat the whole all day! Would be great! Haha

So funny :D Get him before he gets you!

If you drop a cork in the water it tenderizes the meat so its not rubbery like a tire. ^^

Good advice to know :)

glad to hear it ^^

what about time that was spent on this speed art. Really its time lapse?
@overkillcoin
This art with science and gaint sea life surprise me during my visit at that time from dark to bright. thanks mate.

There are so many little parts! Very detailed and I can tell you put lots of hours and effort in to making this master piece!
Do you live close to ocean?
I used to live in NJ! well I lived in CA and MA for short time too :D

Haha, thank you, although I thought the hermit crab was better and more fun to create. Today I've created the Sea Dragon for @jemimah

I used to live 25 minutes from the ocean, but 5 minutes from a river that emptied into the ocean. So, there were plenty of barnacles, crabs and even horse shoe crabs as well.

But I suppose I have just taken the "whales, minnows, dolphins" idea too far ☺

That's interesting, a lot of people travel to the U.S. for work or school. Sounds like you were there for a while.

He's a real beast... groovy music.

Squid is one of my fav..
Youre so creative yet so kind..
Thank you as always...
