The past couple weeks I've been taking an afternoon walk with the camera looking for a decent wildlife photo to share on Snaps. Today this killdeer posed on the tracks while I took 38 shots. The rain started as I was shooting and added a bit of atmosphere.

I liked the whole concept here.
And like most such moments, it just sort of happened. I had not intention of stopping by the tracks, and I had no idea the rain would start either.

The duality of the small bird's fragility and the imminent force of a train that could cross those tracks made me thoughtful.
