Just a reminder: Do not lend anyone money or a part of your earnings you're not willing to lose, especially if you don't know them physically.
Even if they're in a position to help you, it's important that you don't let your desperation for what they can offer trap you in.
Trust takes time and protecting your hard-earned money should always come first especially when dealing with people you've never met in person.
Exactly! That's the point of my post. Giving is good. But the urge to help people we don't know much about should not override our sense of self-preservation.
I wish everyone can see this. Because a lot of people including myself have learned the hard way. They come as a dove and sheep but when it's time to return it, they become a goat and all manner of terrible things. And most of the time, what they can offer is just a trap for you to give them the money.
I even made a hive post about one of my most recent experiences. Truly, I wish others can see it too because a lot of them are still naive, and I wouldn’t want them to learn the hard way like we did.
“They become a goat” is so real.😭 My dear, such people are very tactical.
I have always preached against borrowing someone money you can't afford to let go. Out people can be anyhow when it comes to returning the money they borrow.
I had to learn this but I'm happy I actually did. These days, I'm free from the whole stress of entertaining people like that.

To add to that, many people we lend money do not keep to their words and I'm not even talking about people who have nothing at all.
I'm talking about people whose earnings can afford to pay you back before you even have to ask them. People who earn more than you do!
But instead of paying back, they try to use what they can offer you to shut you up. Then, you'll begin to feel guilty of even asking for your own money. It's what they want. Soft target.
That is why desperation should be purged from our hearts so people don't continue to use us.
