Relatable, I remember saying something similar (phrased "if you wait til you're ready you'll be waiting forever" or "nobody's ever ready for this") to other people after taking a bit to learn it myself :)
we think too much and did even try. That is reason we stuck at the same place.
Well it is very easy to not want to move when you feel like there is a lot to lose, sometimes even if there might be more to gain.
And once one is courageous every other things will fall in place.

Thanks and you are right about the job market. Still moving into the "management" role for this week reinforced that I don't like it and that a technical career is more suitable for me (which I've switched 5 years ago). And still earning more than a manager, thus it is easier.
Management is best with safety net. Tech Jobs are shitty as hell at the moment.
Sometimes experiencing the other role again confirms why we chose our current path... sounds like you made the right choice for yourself. 👍

I woke up in the middle of the night again. I drank some milk to hopefully help me fall back asleep. I have things to do early tomorrow, so I need to get more sleep.
