not sure what the original call was for the police to come out to these peoples house, but there should never be send uniformed armed men to address a mental crisis like this.
Notice cop in front had his tazer out, until his "partner" tells him to put it away and pull his gun out. Notice how the actual FIRE burning inside the house was not as an immediate threat, to the officers life? or maby the fire presented no opportunity for him to take life, in exchange for paid leave. Notice how the 2nd cop send a message over the radio "Get medical ready" and then a minute later the lead cop decides he's tired of negotiating so he pops 1 single shot, probably into the abdomen of the suspect.
this is why you train and practice with your equipment, so you can shoot your tazer.. if it dosnt work, drop it and pull out the gun.. this should take 3 seconds at the most.
Yeah, this is why I go outside when I am mad and make sure I am half-clothed so the cops know its a wrestling match if they touch me.
I was wondering why the taser wasn't used, but considering it was likely the family who called the police, they brought this upon themselves.
