Armin Müller- Stahl is a German actor, writer, painter and musician.
In 1997 he was nominated for the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
In 1949 he finished his exam as a music teacher before he changed to acting. Although he was first denied his talent, he got a permanent engagement at the Berliner Theater am Schiffbauerdamm in 1952.
At the end of the 1980-ies he dared a new beginning in the USA, but he always returned to Germany.
