Confucius was a Chinese philosopher at the time of the eastern Zhou dynasty. He probably lived from 551 BC to 479 BC.
The human order, which could be achieved by ancestor worship and respect for other people, was the central theme of his teachings. According to his teachings, the ideal of the "noble" can only be achieved if man is in harmony with the world as a whole.
"To find the fulcrum," says Confucius, "which unites our moral being with the comprehensive order, the harmony," is the highest goal.
Balance, equanimity, harmony and center were goals worth striving for according to his views. Above all, education should pave the way for this.

„Den Angelpunkt zu finden,“ so Konfuzius, „der unser sittliches Wesen mit der umfassenden Ordnung, der Harmonie vereint,“ ist das höchste Ziel.
Gleichgewicht, Gleichmut, Harmonie und Mitte waren nach seinen Ansichten erstrebenswerte Ziele. Den Weg hierzu sollte vor allem Bildung bereiten.
