Sounds like a lot of water, and it certain is compared to what's needed to comparably produce grains and vegetables. The question becomes is such a rate of use ultimately sustainable, and if not, can it be reasonably reduced. i don't think meat is something we just want to do away with entirely, but it does warrant a wider discussion and debate I believe.
