What do you see more appropriate for yourself?
As I've seen that Hardfork21 has happened and other sciencevienna branches discussing and voting on issues, I decided to make a short post after a long time before starting with a new research project this fall!
Our initial post was the following:
7 Things People Forget to Do Before They Die
Which led us to the following:
Assessment of ethical aspects of cryonics: An emerging technology
&
Capsula Mundi: An Organic Burial Pod
&
Reef Burials - Becoming Part Of The Ocean
- Cryopreservation
- Capsula Mundi
- Reef Burials
Answer the question at dpoll.xyz.

I have seen the capsula mundi before and like the idea. The reef idea is now to me but also good. But with the trees, more people can interact with them., so I like the idea more.
The cryopreservation does not appeal to me at all.
And as to your first link - you, it is very true that people avoid thinking of death. I have worked in nursing homes and hospice care and see this often with the families and the person dying. Only a small percentage handle the time well unfortunately.
After reading it I'll definitely got with Capsula mundi
coz non-biodegradable wastes are all shits. these are accumulated all the way and a lot of toxins released from them and a major portion of them are the neurotoxins.
on the other hand it also deplets oxygen level inside water bodies. so, according to me i think biodegradable burials are a great way to complete this loss.
also it saves the plants from fire burials and it give birth to new plants which we all need now.
Well that's my opinion let me know yours in the comment

Is there an afterlife or is there not? It all comes down to faith and what you believe. That aside, no matter what you do, one day everything will get sucked into a black hole at the end of time and that will be it. So why not try to extend yourself to that point?
I see Cryopreservation as a way to reach into the future. Sure it may or may not be "YOU" but why not? You will die one day no matter what you do, why not experience life longer, or increase your chance of a longer time here?

I like that science is advocating all these issues ... my vote is going to be for Capsula Mundi

It seems natural to me, and most ideal to be part of the nutrients that will help grow a new life on the planet, and perhaps, my relatives can visit and contemplate the tree that is supposed to contain my essence ...or part of it.

I definitely choose the second one, Capsule Mundi!
The first is only a theory, in addition to violating the third law of thermodynamics and a few more physical laws, the third is fine but it is more to satisfy the human ego.

For me, it even has a certain poetic sense ... to think that what is left of me will give new life and maybe in the future something born of what I was will be a bird's nest, travelers' rest and boys and girls playmate. .. Yes, I am a romantic, one who does not want to accept the idea of death as a final and likes to treat that condition as a change of state, one where others should be able to feel our company with what we leave after we pass through this world.

Capsula Mundi
For me, is the best fuckin option. At leat you're able to help the planet. The classical ways we have right now (burial and incinerate) are so bad for the planet. Burial only generates garbage and incinerating causes problems for the ozone layer. We as humankind have to think about an adequate way to die. And I think is this.

One advice, apparently the survey can be considered biased, for the image you place, you suggest that you vote for the first option, and everyone goes by inertia, I vote for the second, for being more natural and functional.

I vote for the second, it gives you the option of choosing to be buried full or cremated, just as nature takes its course.

These are cool ideas but cremation is Good too?
The option that is closest to me is that of "Capsula Mundi"

Traditional burial practices are not only no longer up-to-date but overlaid with religious ideology.
