This was kicked off by someone on the Arlesey Jammers FB group mis-typing the name of the song he was doing for open mic. Then someone else submitted the same song and so I suggested everyone could have a go. I could not be satisfied with doing it straight, so I re-wrote the lyrics for the current times. Out came the trusty Tanglewood uke. It is a very simple song with just three chords. I tend to avoid the obvious classics in my performances unless I can put a twist on them.
If you do not know this is based on a Credence Clearwater Revival song.
I am currently watching the various videos people have done in a FB watch party with comments flying past. People seemed to enjoy this song. These sessions are not public as some people are not confident enough for that and so it is a sort of support group to keep spirits up.
We have all missed playing together, although Danielle and I have met up a couple of times recently. The rules keep changing, but we decided to get a few more of us together for this session. I have not seen some of these people in person for months. We had a physically distanced jam last weekend.
Rock on!

Woow I like it!! Nice ukelele's song
I think the uke makes people smile and so it suits comedy songs. That tends to be my style.
I love me some CCR. I have their greatest hits on vinyl and I have a lot of there stuff in my Spotify playlists. I think they are some of the best stuff that came out of that era.
I only really know the hits, but this one gets sung a lot at the pub. We had about 5 versions last night.
"Someday Never Comes" is a great one!
Everything sounds lighter with a ukulele. Even a global pandemic.
Nice job on the Bad Mood Rising work. I liked it. I could figure out the start of Bring me sunshine, but then after it was over I saw that the 3speak auto played the next in cue while I was trying to watch your video. I enjoyed it anyway. Looks like your all in the middle of a jungle.
We were in someone's garden. Nicely shaded and we needed a some shelter from a little rain. Good fun anyway. I really don't like it when the next video plays automatically. Usually it's something totally irrelevant.
It totally was irrelevant. I am in a music mood today, John Carpenter, (the movie director guy/composer also{which I did not know}), has a couple of new tunes out non movie related, https://peakd.com/hive-148441/@wiseagent/john-carpenter-and-his-most-recent-musical-works @wiseagent did a post on them. I be curious to see who you first see when you look at the cover image,
I was so interested in learning the guitar one time, then a friend told me the ukulele was better.
Started to learn for almost a month. I think I should pick up for where I left.
Edit: I'm proud that I spelt "ukulele" right today. Definitely because I'm typing I guess, I always get the spelling wrong.
It's a fun instrument. I just have to convert guitar chords in my head as I play.
