Market Friday 50's night

Market Friday 50's night

A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

For this weeks post,

I am sharing some shots of an event recently held downtown in the Historic District of New Bedford, it was a 50's night this years in Memory of a gentleman called Joe Jesus who used to organize this event apparently he was well known and liked and the turnout was pretty impressive, both with spectators but also with many cool cars, which you will get a glimpse off in this post, but in addition to these shots I have over 200 More I will share slowly over time in future posts.

Now as always it may be debatable whether my Market Friday post is actually of a Market but I thin this slips in as these are streets with shops, and there were a few vendors.

Now what is unusual for me is the place is open and there are people there ( mind you that was the case for me MF post last week come to think about it )

just after I entered the area and you can see some of the cars

Along the Main street, the event officially started at 5and I thought if I got there at 4:30 I would get some walking around without to many people, but seems plenty thought the same idea

Very cool, looks like a fun collection of cars on display there.

I love these car reunions.
Good photos

I love these old cars so much! Some look luxurious, some look funny, but all are gorgeous!

Wow! The Car Show was well attended!
The ice cream truck... is part of the exhibit? Hahaha.
I bet you enjoyed it. I missed the one held in our town last week!
!LOL

Ohh, when I read the title I was expecting fruits and vegetables, it never crossed my mind that I'll get to see some sports and vintage cars.

I see that @dswigle likes sunflowers, I'm a big fan myself, I'll check her feed later. Hope you'll have a great weekend, CHEERS!

Love those vintage cars

Nice turnout both in people and cars. Looks like a fun Friday 👍

👍🙂👍

What a beautiful place @tattoodjay.Keep safe!

What a great show here. The streets look pretty cool, lined with eras gone by. I like the first few in the lineup. They are getting fewer and farther between. Or perhaps it is because I haven't been down to the local ice cream stand where (believe it or not) they gather cars and people almost every weekend. No specific agenda or style, just antique. Many times they gather after a car show somewhere else. It has a small-town vibe to it, but, it is not small. Anyway, it is nice and I hope you had a great time. Do your grandsons like going to that kind of thing, looking at the old-time cars and other various activities that are always going on there?

What was your favorite car??? In the thumbnail, there is a niiiice one, the first car on the left! I would be taking that hope tonight - and then a Nice little Corvette. :)

Joe Jesus sounds like a well-loved man the way people went down to honor him. I always find that so touching for the family. I am sure they are proud that he was as loved outside his house as he probably was on the inside. I look forward to seeing more individual shots of the cars, you always make them look great!

Thank you for taking us along!

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday
