Here's the deets on the contest -
@jaynie and @zord189 have decided to spread our toes and inspire a little bit of photographic fun with this week’s @steemitbloggers contest. It is REALLY simple and it would be SUPER to see all of you jump in with both feet! Hahahaha… ok so here it is! The SteemitBloggers community has people scattered all over the world and so we have decided to create a photographic contest where the members will capture the “world at their feet” in the most CREATIVE way they can think of.
For my entry, I took a shadow selfie, ala @themagus that showed my feet at the bottom. A few hours later, the computer that I'd downloaded the photos to (then deleted off my camera), decided it just didn't want to work any more.
Did I mention I haven't backed up my files since the beginning of summer...?

Nope, can't even find a gif to express my brain at this moment.
Anywho, I got up the gumption to do a redo today. Since it was too cloudy to recreate the shadow, instead I took a meander into the woods behind my Durham NH home, since I'm forever sharing photos from there.
Relaxing on a granite boulder in the woods, with the world (aka the ground below me) at my feet.
The sky above me
The world in front of me
To my left...
...behind me...
...and to my right.
I feel I should explain the attire. Yes, I'm wearing my jammie bottoms because it was quicker and easier than shaving my legs it's usually what I'm wearing when I wander. And the shoes are hand-me-downs from hubby - he periodically gets new steel-toed boots from work, and I use this pair whenever I head out to the yard. They're fast to put on, comfortable, and I don't have to worry about all the snakes that hang out on the property. Bonus - they're black, so they coordinate with my entire wardrobe. 😂
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello lovely photos i like this idea of contest the world at our feet:)
Thank you @drawmeaship.
Are those leaves? I remember what those look like. All we got down here are palm fronds with sharp jagged edges on them, they'll cut you to pieces if your not careful. I so miss real trees.
I can't imagine living anywhere that doesn't have trees, and leaves, and seasons. Oh, and stayed tuned - fail foliage shots will be coming up soon. There are already some trees in the neighborhood changing, but not at the homestead. Hubby is going to drive me around some day soon, so I can do some passenger seat shutterbugging. I know it won't be the same, but hopefully it will help. 🌳 🍂
We got seasons. There's hot, and not hot. Hot for 9 months and the other 3 if we are lucky are not so hot. Mornings are pretty awesome though.. Heading to the required.
You worry me sometimes .. haha!
At least you completed the contest .. :)

Thanks so much, @ykdesign! That's an awesome compliment, and I greatly appreciate it! 😊
I imagine that you look stunning wondering about in your yard in your jammies and steel toed work boots! LMAO!!! That's the benefit of living on that hill in the middle of the woods! Great photos by the way!
Thanks so much, Roger! Yeppers, if we had neighbors that could actually see into the yard, I bet they'd be like...
