What does Easter mean to you?

Good day dear mates! As you can know Easter is coming soon! And I want to ask you to share your opinion about this holiday!

Also it will be great if you share with us in comments traditions and customs associated with the celebration this holiday in your country.

  • For me it's great holiday and I celebrate it every year!

  • For me, it's just a holiday in calendar, but I don't celebrate it.

  • For me, this is a normal, unremarkable day.

  • I heard about this holiday, but I do not know details about it.

  • This is a great day for me and I urge everyone to join his holiday!

I realize what suffering Jesus had on the cross and what abominations took place in our story. I celebrate Easter as the resurrection of Jesus and I am happy for days off.

Mostly with chocolate bunny and colorful eggs (either real or chocolate eggs, or both of them).
I also eat kalács (kalach in English), ham and aspic.

Thank you for details! Here in Russia we also have something like kalach but we call it kulich.

I used to celebrate it when I was a kid and a Christian :)

I don't really celebrate it, I don't do anything special. But I do tend to enjoy the day knowing others are having fun :^)

Easter is the time to celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. For me, egg hunts and candy have nothing to do with it, but I guess it makes the young ones happy. :)

Easter is a good time to reflect on the life of Christ, His atoning sacrifice, and what that all means for all of us. It's also a time for families to get together, share a meal, enjoy one another's company, and to feel the love we share one to another.

It's not quite the same as Christmas, or something like Thanksgiving in the United States—in my mind, it's a little more subdued, a little more respectful, but nevertheless a time to rejoice.
