The Guitar Player [Hive Portrait Photography Contest - Week 11]

in Portrait Photography4 years ago (edited)

Good night, friends!

This shot was captured at a nearby garden, when me and a couple of friends gathered simply to relax a bit and enjoy the fresh air. At some point in the afternoon, my friend started playing guitar to entertain us and he was looking so slick that I couldn't resist to grab a photo! 😎

This is my entry for the Hive Portrait Photography Contest - Week 11.

Although he plays quite well, he never joined a band nor played professionally. He had other interests besides music and, as such, he opted to follow a career in IT, having became very successful in that area. 😉

Life is full of forks in the road. A decision like this might takes us one way or the other. I guess now we'll never know what could have happened if he had pursued a musical career instead... 🤔

I hope you liked this photo!

Yeah, this is a portrait contest, not a selfie contest! 🤭

Life is full of forks in the road.

Agree, I have seen many people chase their career which is not related with their hobby or something which they are passionate about. Reality is if you want to survive in this world, you need the money and for that, you have to do something which will help you to get money and slowly you will make it your passion...

The reality of life...

I have seen many people chase their career which is not related with their hobby or something which they are passionate about.

That is my case. I went for a job which is at demand by the modern world... instead of following my passion and and risk ending up as a supermarket cashier because there are not enough jobs in the translation business. 🤓
