Reflexions: The Weekend Freewrite- 9/15/2018

He was anxious for everyone to go to bed. He washed his hands and cleaned his knife.

I need those little fuckers to go to bed he thought to himself looking at the way the knife reflected the florescent blueish light.

"Good-night daddy."

"Get your little butt to bed. Your brother too." He keeps the knife hidden by keeping it in front of his chest.

"Will you read a story to us?" she asks twisting her toes around on the floor.

He feels his face get red hot. "NOT TONIGHT."

The sound wave makes her take a step back. "ppplease."

Karl feels the knife of the blade with his thumb, cutting himself so that he can feel again - keeping himself from harming one he loves so much. The little shits need to go to bed. "What did I say?" Before she has a chance to respond, he says, "Now."

Karl sat behind the beat up ford's steering wheel he had stolen a week early staring intently at the entrance into the Lounge G Spooks. The song on the radio reminds him of the time he had met Mag. He had his Harley. She had the looks. Now he has the kids. She has all the time in the world to fool around with other men.

It was Mag's time to get off of work. It was twenty minutes past before he saw her come out with a trucker holding her arm in his.

It wasn't like her to be leaving with another man straight from work. He was unsure of her motivation for changing that pattern. Maybe she feels the blade sticking in her and can't shake the feeling. A gross smile crosses his lips.

Karl followed the rig Meg was in from a couple cars behind. They travelled on the east highway toward the outskirts of town. At least they are going to make this easy for you.

A porcupine on the side of the road is being eaten by a vulture. What eats the bodies I've tossed away? That reminded him that he was going to have to figure out a better spot to get rid of the bodies instead of piling them up in the garage.

Cutting and chopping up the bodies where not what he was in to. That part made him feel and look it too. He remembered the day when his daughter had almost caught him in the act of hiding a body.

"Are you sick," she asked.

In ways you could never imagine. "No. Just feeling tired. That is all. Go and play with your dolls."

  • Steem Monsters Common Card Fantasy Story Contest! - Coming out roughly every week. If you enjoy card games like Magic, Yugio, and others like it, you might like this game. Write a fictional tale about the card they present in the contest and your entry just might be the one they choose to showcase.

  • Tell A Story To Me, And Win 5 SBD! Writing Contest - Kind of random when it comes out but don't worry. You will have two weeks to complete your work of art from the given prompt. Have fun!

  • Haiku - These are coming out every couple days or so. If you stuggle with rhymes, no worries. Haikus don't have to rhyme. All you need to make a haiku is five syllable on the first, seven syllables in the second line, and again back to five syllable for the last line. So easy it makes me think I'm being super product. LOL
