Hello Steemians,
welcome to the eleventh part of our trip on the island of Sardinia. Sorry for the long posting break, but since steemit.com was not usable for nearly a month now, I had no muse to post something.
On our third last day we visited the excavation site Nora in the south of the island.
The city was founded in the 9th century BC and is located a few kilometres southeast of Pula on a peninsula.
From the former city, only the floor plans of the buildings can be seen. In the background, you can see the Torre del Coltellazzo o di Sant' Efisio tower, which is located at the tip of the peninsula.
Nora also had a small theatre, of which the ruins are still visible.
To the east of the peninsula is the island Isola del Coltellazzo. It looks a little bit like a petrified submarine that's just showing up.
Some of the columns have been put up again.
My wife even dared to pose between these four pillars.
In another place, for thousands of years, the original ruins of the vaults of the city's former baths have been preserved.
After visiting Nora we had a break at one of the beautiful beaches near Pula.

Oh, sehr schön, wo seit ihr denn gerade unterwegs?
Wir stehen auf dem Camping « Camp du Domaine » in Bormes-les-Mimosas. Standplatz direkt am Meer (Saisonende), morgen gehts dann weiter nach Cabasson und anschließend wieder in die Camargue. :)

Yes, with current weather in middle europe, I'm happy to fly to lisboa in 3 days to have a little bit sun before the winter comes.
Lovely post thank you. Sardinia has always sounded exotic for some reason, I know it is beautiful not by experience but from friendswh visited and loved it. I'll have a look at your other posts too.

Nee, ich bin im Grunde meines Herzens immer schon Archäologin gewesen - nur die Himmelsrichtung hat sich geändert. Ich liebe einfach Ruinen und hab schon als Kind Erfahrungen gesammelt auf einem alten, stillgelegten Betriebsgelände. Diese erste "archäologische" Stätte war höchsten 50 Jahre alt, hatte aber viel zu "erzählen". ;))
Was hälst Du eigentlich von den bosnischen Pyramiden?
Das ist schwer zu sagen, solange ich selber nicht vor Ort war. Grundsätzlich ist aber nicht auszuschließen, dass es sich tatsächlich um Pyramiden handeln könnte, da der Pyramidenbau nichts war, was den Ägyptern exklusiv vorbehalten war. Es gibt überall auf der Welt Pyramiden (z.b. in Mittel- und Südamerika), die sogar nach dem selben Schema, z.B. in Stufen oder mit einem Aufweg, Taltempel etc. versehen sind. Insofern würde es mich gar nicht wundern, wenn wir neue Pyramiden entdecken.
Schönes Posting Twinner, mutige Frau hast du da, die Säulen sehen nicht so wahnsinnig stabil aus :D

this is stunning , looking at history infront of your eyes, the ruins look tell of a story past and view of the tower looks awesome. i like the island that looks like a submarine, nature is interesting and beautiful
