It is hard to find suiting ones here and i am not planning to write only posts that can be shared on reddit if I write at all :-)
Yes, hard to find articles. Even I see a title worth sharing, normally the post stinks with one-click AI lazy shitpost so much that I don't dare to share it on Reddit. I'd better write a review of a movie myself. I am building a community on Reddit - don't want to destroy my reputation there. But Hive has many great photographers - sharing images is a thing, I'll return to it soon.
Same - and yes sharing photos is worth more (even not related to the contest) - but we have good photo guys - we had even more in the past.
Photos tend to get fewer Hive link clicks though but it is more relaxing to share them and requires less effort, as with links, sharing requires you to brainstorm a bit. But I also think writing posts to share on Reddit for views is a good approach, especially if you're aiming to grow visibility. I havenβt made one myself recently, as it takes time and comes with more pressure, particularly in the bigger subs. As we know, Reddit crowds can be a bit picky. But it's not all bad if you take it as constructive criticism and it does help us improve somehow, weβve had to go through that since the start, and itβs how we learn to navigate what works and what doesnβt when sharing in that space. Then we try to adjust and try again. Otherwise, we would hire a professional advertising team, and it would not be guaranteed to do well. It's good that we are learning the craft ourselves.
If we avoid those challenges, we often end up with fewer views. I also think what we are doing, which is a mix of everything, is a good approach as we target different types of audiences.
Itβd be good to know how many views count as a healthy flow for the Hive ecosystem. Maybe we can work on that to make sure we donβt underdo or overdo it. :)
Just to clarify in case I was misunderstood. π I meant this from a sharing perspective based on my own experience. Posting photos feels more enjoyable and straightforward and people like nice photos. While sharing links usually takes a bit more thought and framing and so on, and can involve dealing with some trolls too.
Iβm not referring to the effort that goes into creating the content itself, I really admire great photography. :)
Just be careful how and what you share, and you should be okay.
