Saludos a toda la comunidad de #Music, comenzamos una semana con entusiasmo y sintiendo amor por lo que hacemos. La música es un potente catalizador, no solo nos transforma y nos hace cambiar nuestro estado de ánimo y emociones, también nos inspira y nos motiva para hacer las cosas que son importantes en nuestra vida. Hoy vengo a compartir unas cálidas notas con la trompeta de una canción titulada “Love in Portofino”, compuesta por el letrista Italiano Leo Matteo Chiosso y el cantautor Ferdinando Buscaglione en 1958.
Greetings to the entire #Music community, we start a week with enthusiasm and feeling love for what we do. Music is a powerful catalyst, it not only transforms us and makes us change our moods and emotions, it also inspires and motivates us to do the things that are important in our lives. Today I come to share some warm notes on the trumpet of a song entitled “Love in Portofino”, composed by the Italian lyricist Leo Matteo Chiosso and the singer-songwriter Ferdinando Buscaglione in 1958.
Una de mis versiones favoritas es la de Andrea Bocelli. También he podido escuchar la versión de la cantante francesa Dalida, una de las interpretaciones que llevó esta canción al éxito internacional. Portofino es un pueblo pesquero de Italia que se encuentra en la provincia de Génova. La vista del puerto es muy hermosa, destaca el colorido y la arquitectura de sus casas. La letra de la canción nos habla del encanto de este lugar, el color de cielo por la mañana y la vista al mar donde se puede encontrar el amor.
One of my favorite versions is the one by Andrea Bocelli. I have also been able to listen to the version of the French singer Dalida, one of the interpretations that brought this song to international success. Portofino is a fishing village in Italy that is located in the province of Genoa. The view of the port is very beautiful, the color and architecture of its houses stand out. The lyrics of the song tell us about the charm of this place, the color of the sky in the morning and the view of the sea where love can be found.
Este fin de semana tuve la oportunidad de tocar el piano en la presentación de la agrupación coral de la Iglesia. Aprendí cosas maravillosas en cuanto a mantener una actitud positiva cuando vemos cosas que no están en nuestras manos y que se salen de nuestro control. Algunos llegaron tarde a los ensayos, y no solo eso, también interrumpían la sesión al querer saludar a otros y conversar. De verdad que eso no me lo esperaba, porque normalmente en estas ocasiones las personas deben concentrarse y enforcarse en las prioridades del coro. En estas ocasiones es difícil hacer correcciones, ya estas con la batuta en la mano, y toca hacer lo que vinimos hacer. Cuando finalizo la reunión mucho menos podía decir nada, ya que uno no esta para hacer sentir mal a las personas y aunque haya cosas que a uno no le gusta, debe esperar el momento oportuno para decirlas. Al final de todo, uno también es responsable como director y debe establecer reglas antes. En un ambiente positivo la música tiene efectos significativos tanto en el que la interpreta como el que la escucha. Aprende tanto el que canta como el que escucha, tanto el que toca un instrumento como el que dirige.
This weekend I had the opportunity to play the piano in the presentation of the choral group of the Church. I learned wonderful things about staying positive when we see things that are out of our hands and beyond our control. Some were late for rehearsals, and not only that, they also interrupted the session by wanting to greet others and chat. I really did not expect that, because normally on these occasions people must concentrate and focus on the priorities of the choir. On these occasions it is difficult to make corrections, you are already with the baton in hand, and it is time to do what we came to do. When the meeting ended, much less could he say anything, since one is not here to make people feel bad and even if there are things that one does not like, one must wait for the opportune moment to say them. At the end of it all, one is also responsible as a director and must establish rules beforehand. In a positive environment, music has significant effects on both the performer and the listener. Both the one who sings and the one who listens learn, both the one who plays an instrument and the one who directs.

This is my fourth time seeing this video and I was compelled to make a comment because I couldn't hold back how I felt about this piece.
