There has been a lot of heat between me and @slobberchops and @steevc and @enforcer48 about me self voting 5 of my own post a day. Well I want to sit down and try and calmly explain to them why I self vote, but I am not optimistic that they will understand my point.
It's pretty simple really I spend hours taking photos and editing them everyday and get very few votes or payout on professional quality photos. I am going to put a list of links below of post getting big payouts on shit post, and if you can't understand why I self vote you are blind.
This person got $30 for to pictures of food that took her 10 seconds to do, and she has many more post getting $15 for the same crap photos. I'll put a few more just so you can see.

These are just a few reasons why I self vote there are hundreds more like these that are getting big pay outs for shitty post but yet you come after me claiming I am milking the system getting an extra $1 a day. Maybe I just need to quit posting quality photos and start posting blurry photos it seems that , that is what all the whales want. If you can honestly say any one of the post I listed above is better then my photos and deserve the votes and payouts they got then Hive is not the place for me. I highly doubt anything will change even if I did quit upvoting myself. I feel bad for calling out all these people , I usually keep to myself about it but to show why I self vote I had to show my point.
You can say I'm crying or just making excuses, but it's the truth, and I am sure if @slobberchops were making $1-$2 a post and some one else was making a similar post but with blurry photos and they were making $10-$20 a post it would begin to piss him off. So how do you make up for the injustice, by using your stake to self vote.
You may consider my self voting abuse, but I consider giving these shit post large payouts abuse. There are lots of quality photos making hardly nothing and these blurry photos get large pay outs. Please explain to me why that is not abuse and why your not going after those people and the whales that are upvoting these types of post.

You have been farming thousands of Steem(now Hive) since 2016 using four accounts, halo, pinkfuzz, pinklotus and razorwave8.
You have been voting yourself most of the time, without share a cent to support other authors.
You consider that you are posting professional quality content, when in fact is totally average compared with many photographers around, and what to say about your edits... I guess you're having hard time using a Photoshop shortcut to just invert the colors in the picture, or other quick "edits".
You dump a load of post everyday, many times recycled over the years.
Basically you have grown a tiny fanbase of wankers who are gonna to upvote whatever you post, while you will still feeding them with a daily rack dose.
A few users told gently about you could share your wealth with other users and support them, and you are doing a big drama like if a crew of whales had destroyed your account.
And your excuse for such behavior is that you are not getting what you consider you deserve. Welcome to the real life! A cute face and a nice rack are not always enough to get whatever you wish lol... you will learn it along the next years.
Honestly I don't care if people selfvote once a day, or recycle a post time to time, but your farming and spamming are just blatant. And your entitlement and spoiled child attitude are even worst lol
They are giving you a chance, I suggest you take it instead continue with this tantrum.

So. It's a circular argument. I'm better than these people and I deserve more than they get so I will try to enrich myself by voting for myself. 5 times per day.
How often do you engage with hive members? How many photography contests do you enter? How often do you speak with the people that run them?
It takes perseverance and work to 'move up' on this chain. No shortcuts, no easy way.
But it's your choice...

Should I point to hundreds of people who make 10c after putting in serious work on a post? Your excuses don't wash. You could help those people make more, but despite getting $1+ votes on your posts it's not enough for you. The people who get votes generally put in work on building a following or maybe they have well off friends. Nobody said it was 'fair', but your antisocial attitude will not win you friends.
Some of those people you mention are on blacklists and may not make so much now as the community acts on abuse. Others may have some side-deal with big accounts. Shit happens.
Note that this post already has $2 thanks to some whales. Will you still upvote it? I won't. What if everyone decides they need to self-vote themselves several times each day?

What when it's 4 or 5 plus the same for just one other account that returns the favour? She's not voting for anyone else. She does okay from a couple of big accounts. I want to see people be part of something bigger, but some are just not interested. I have tried to reason with her, but we just get abuse in return. Such is the life of a Hive curator.

The edits can easily be done with filters or presets which takes minutes to apply.
I don't know how many times I have to repeat myself, and am getting bored of the same old drivel you are putting out. So here it is in picture form, given how highly you rate your own photography an image might work.
As well as posting 40 times a week with a single image, you now want to be paid for moaning and complaining.. and so far nobody has flagged you besides my 1% DV on an insulting comment.

Mate, you don't have to answer to anyone. You were my mentor when I started here and I couldn't have picked a better one. I tackled @halo about this 15 days ago, she can't vote for anyone beside's herself and her alt @pinkfuzz who has 32 one-picture rewards pending which suddenly get a boost on day 4 or 5. Nothing has changed besides her self-vote is now at 50%, big deal!
As I mentioned to you, @halo showed on an abuse report as one of the worst on HIVE.
Is it really that hard to dish out some votes to some newer accounts, I look for them all the time, try and encourage them else they will leave. I resteem them, give them chunky votes, give them @curie's.
I don't expect @halo to be like you or me, she needs to get off the abuse radar.

Amen. I echo your sentiments. I've even been guilted into not self voting some of my posts. I also get frustrated when I've spent thousands of dollars on a drone, spent time traveling locally or further, then time to take video, hours editing and doing post production to produce something I consider maybe not hollywood, but at least presentable only to see it make a few dollars or even less in upvotes while what seems to me garbage posts of a simple food shot or other half-focused photo shot in a public selfie get double digits or higher. I don't yet understand how that can happen.
On a separate note, please don't stop posting the quality photos. You have a great talent and I still have hope that the Hive system will eventually work as intended, which is to promote quality work and curation and disapprove or remove garbage and spam. There are so many disrespectful people trying to game the system it may take a bit longer to clear them out. In the meantime, the folks doing the right thing and posting good content must continue for the platform to survive.
Keep on keeping on until the lamers gaming the system give in and leave. We need to have each others back to overcome.
Why shouldn't we be able to vote our own posts if we like them. Why is our opinion of ourselves valued less than others that don't know us?

Exactly right. I still find at least more than a handful of "real" people on the platform that care both about the interaction, the content, and the overall vision. I don't know there will ever be enough technology to eliminate the few naysayers and jealous lamers that can't produce content other than complaints, but I still maintain hope that they are incompetent of long term focus or commitment and will eventually all fade away to be replaced by other short-term lamers. I don't have a good answer other than for the long-haul folks to downvote, and implement a more stringent reputation rating and account longevity system to require longer term commitment to be demonstrated before they are allowed to have a vote. Seldom do I see them last more than a few months before their insecurities and lack of influence drive them to seek attention elsewhere, kind of like Antifa lamers. lol
Wise advise given to me before told me to "Consider the source". I'll pass that advice on before giving thought of any credence to their comments.

Hive is supposed to be decentralized but it seems more like to me that it is very centralized by a group of whales that want to control everything we do from our votes to who we vote on to what we post. They claim its decentralized but it not it is very centralized. and i can never prove it but i would bet that every account that down voted your comment are all mr. slobberchops accounts.
I don't know that anything is truly decentralized nowadays. Everything seems to have a clique or group controlling it. Don't know there is any avoiding that, but bullies tend to still trip my triggers, no matter the context or format. I'm sure I used to be as immature and biased as many, but nowadays feel even stronger that people should feel empowered to voice their opinion and we should embrace the differences in each other, rather than trying to force all the sheep into compliance. Maybe even a sense of duty in my normal "protector" mode now to help defend others from the bullies. I think they all deserve a heavy punch to the nose or better!
How much was that bet? Only two of those accounts are controlled by @slobberchops that I know of. The rest trust him enough to follow his downvote trail.

Sorry, but I am not going to cry over your plight. You have chosen to ignore the community in favour of your own greed. Nobody is 'entitled' to rewards and you need some perspective on how much rewards are actually available. You have some talent and being a pretty girl has earning potential of course. All I expect from people is that they do something to help Hive prosper.
My stake is pretty small and I don't answer to anyone. Those who have responded to you are individuals. We are not conspiring to bring you down. I have met lots of 'real' people of this platform in person. Have you or Mr @ksteem? It's easy to call people names when you find the community criticises your actions. We can see all your actions and they speak louder than your words.

This is what you get for giving a shit ;) We expend a lot of energy on curating (up and down). We don't have to do that, but we have seen too much crap on Steem and Hive. It does wear you down and it's frustrating when people just don't get that their actions can be seen as selfish.
