This Is How We Celebrate Our Independence Day !!

John F Kennedy once said “Don’t ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”.

Hi all Steemians, because few days more we will celebrate our Independence Day, so this blog will be talking about “Giving contribution in building up a strong and advance nation”.

Talking about contribution, I believe all of you already know the meaning about that, but, let me define and explain it again in order to make it clear. What is the meaning of contribution ? Contribution is something that you contribute or do to help achieve something together with other people, or to help make something successful. Now, I want to ask you, 3 questions based on this theme. Who will contribute to the nation ?, What kind of contribution will we give ?, and How to make it success ?
Now, moves to the first question :

First, who will contribute to the nation ?
There is a proverb says “The young generation is the hope of this nation”. All of us is the young and the next generations of this nation. The future of this nation is located in our hands. It’s up to you. It’s in our hands, whether we want to hold and keep it as strong as we can to build up this nation together or destroy it and throw it away. I believe all of us absolutely want to hold and keep it a strong as we can. But, we can’t only hold it and keep it without any action or contribution. As the next generation, we must do something useful for the future of this nation. But what kind of contribution will we give ? Let’s move to the 2nd question.
What kind of contributions will we give ?
As a young generation, what we need to do most is study, study, and study. All of us absolutely have the basic right to pursue education. We need to use our right wisely. It’s a good opportunity for us to get education but, sadly, as we know many people out there still can not have this kind of opportunity. So, we have to use this time wisely and contribute to our nation. By what ? By reaching as many achievements as we can, improving our skills, and expanding our knowledge. Belive or not our nations will be stronger, more advance, and better than this.
And now, let’s move to the last question.
How to make it success ?
The answer is we have to improve our knowledge with education for this nation. Because, education is the foundation to make a good and advance generation in this nation. But, beside the importance of education for them, the thing that should be given to them is moral development, why I said so ? Because, lots of crimes that happen right now are not because they don’t get any education, but because of the lack of moral. Just because of that, it can creates the 4 extraordinary crimes, those are corruption, terrorism, narcotic, and sexual abuse. And my question is how to solve it ?
As we know, now our government has made a new concept of curriculum. And, the value of the curriculum is different with another curriculum. Why ? Because, this curriculum is not only teach about the knowledge but it is also in line with the moral development. To make this nation becomes better, what we need is not only a person who has a good knowledge but also has a good moral. Because, there are lots of people who have a good knowledge but lack of moral development.
So, the conclusion of this essay is we as the young and next generation of this nation. We need to contribute to our beloved nation in order to make it better. “Give me ten youths and I will shake the world”, that's the statement our founding father, the first president of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno, look ! how important the role of youth in the progress of this nation. As the young generation, we need to consider that we have an obligation as an agent to bring the betterment for the sake of our beloved country, so that we can create a good generation for the future of our country. Trust me ! Just do this kind of little things, you can make our nation becomes better than now.
