POPDA XV yang akan diadakan oleh DISPORA Aceh tahun 2018 mengambil tempat di Kabupaten Aceh Tengah sebagai penyelenggara dan tuan rumah, akan didikuti oleh 23 kabuapaten kota seluruh Aceh. Menurut Kepala DISPORAPAR Kabupaten Aceh Utara Bapak MAWARDI, S. Pd melalui Kepala Bidang Kepemudaan sekaligus sebagai ketua penyelenggara yakni bapak ABDULLAH, S. Pd, M. Si, pada tahun 2018 Kabupaten Aceh Utara akan menurunkan sebanyak 125 orang atlet dan official dari 11 cabang olahraga (lihat tabel). POPDA tahun 2018 ini akan diselenggarakan pada tanggal 01 sampai dengan 08 Mei 2018.
