Yes you've read that right, Actifit has officially launched its long awaited iOS version, which is as of now available on the app store!
iOS Version Released
Two months ago, Actifit started as an idea for an SMT that rewards people to get fit. We launched, back then, an Android app that gave people the bare bone functionality to be able to track their activity and post it on Steemit.
Although many already know that we've had the iOS app ready for a while now, and we gave many accounts early tester access a week ago, yet it was only the Apple approval that was delaying our official launch..
Today we are more than excited to be able to answer to our iPhone users' requests of bringing them an official app store Apple version!
The Apple version is almost an exact copy of the Android version, with slightly minor differences, hence if you have any questions you can easily refer to the tutorial at the end of this post, check out the FAQs, read the text tutorial, or come to us with questions upon need.
Still don't know what Actifit is?
Actifit is a SMT that relies on its own mobile app (Android, iOS) to enable Steem users to easily and seamlessly track their daily activity, and reward them for posting this activity to the Steem blockchain from within the app.
Walk your dog, mow the lawn, go for a run, walk to work, ... whatever your favorite (or not so favorite) activity, do it, and get rewarded for it.
Rewards come in the shape of Steem upvotes and AFIT tokens.

What have we accomplished so far?
Concept Adoption
Actifit kicked off its first days on the Steem blockchain with less than 10 contributions, and the number continuously increased until we have reached 200+ contributions per day, all of which are receiving upvotes and AFIT token rewards, as long as they reach the min amount of activity required per day (5,000 activity count)
The number of Active downloads for the Android app has crossed the 1,000+ mark, and with 200+ rewarded contributions per day (without counting ones with less than 5,000 activity), this puts Actifit at nothing short of 20% active usage, which is a remarkable number for an app.
At this rate, we are doing far better than most ETH and EOS dapps, which according to this report are at a total of 8 with 300 active users per day, and we are getting closer by the day to this number. We expect to cross it real soon with Apple users, and way beyond with Velocity HF. (Thanks @taskmaster4450 for bringing this article to my attention)
Changing Lives
We constantly read some heartwarming stories by Actifitters who were struggling to be active, losing weight, or with healing beyond an injury, and are now changing their daily habits and feeling the health-first benefits .. and token rewards by using Actifit. Those posts leave us proud and humbled by having the opportunity to change lives of so many Steemians!
Steem Power Delegations
We started with an account that had 500 SP Delegation from the founder, and then day in day out, we kept receiving overwhelming support from the community, that brought us 2 months down the road to 110K+ SP, with around 200 delegators.
We cannot be happier with the wonderful support so far, which has been allowing us to reward both in AFIT tokens as well Steem upvotes.
Most of our support comes from smaller accounts, which makes us quite proud. Although to be able to sustain providing actifitters with enough upvotes, particularly with the iOS launch, which we believe shortly will double the contributions count and bring us to 500 contributions per day, sooner than later.
So this is a call out to dolphins, orcas, and whales on the Steem platform, to join in on our mission to change everyone's lives, by promoting healthy living, being active, while giving everyone proper incentives as AFIT tokens, and plans to help grow the whole Steem ecosystem .. more on that below

10SP, 20SP, 30SP, 50SP, 100SP, 250SP, 500SP, 1,000SP, 5,000SP, 10,000SP, 20,000SP, Custom Amount
Make sure you have at least 15 SP left on your account.
Reaching out beyond Steem ecosystem
Although we are still shy on promoting Actifit outside of Steem with really minimum social media work and engagement, and the reason being the slow approval rate as most of you are aware, yet we did have few accounts notify us that they joined Steem because of Actifit. Once velocity goes live, we believe we will be able to bring Actifit to the masses, relying on the potential to create Steem accounts using RCs, and hence launching massive communication outside the Steem blockchain.
Our token distribution?
As of writing this report, Actifit has rewarded more than 4.7 Million AFIT tokens to delegators, actifitters, upvoters, developers, moderators and as different bounties for promoters and whoever has been helping Actifit grow!
This made the total amount of AFIT token holders 15.7K+ of different Steem accounts.
We are proud to have been helping people get moving, and hence had rewarded an excess of 7.3K activity reports!
100K tokens are being distributed to delegators on a daily basis (max cap), around 20K to activity reports, and 12K to upvoters.

We are just getting started ! We do have tons of plans for Actifit. Delivering the iOS version was definitely a large milestone for us, yet we do have tons of items in the works, including but not limited to:
- More, more and more functionality to both mobile apps (goals, reminders, in-app image uploads, GPS tracking, distance measurements, profile, notifications, activity lists, charts...)
- We are already working on integrating with wearables and gears, that is among the priority items on our list.
- We will be launching some huge competitions with big rewards real soooon.
- We had several athletes join Actifit (@entrepreneur916, @bunnymoney, and @fedesox) are in discussions with some Steemit and world-ranked athletes to start some more cooperation on different levels. We have some radio show plans and health/fitness tips ... more on that later!
- More work is coming along on our website, which already has had a lot of improvements across the past period. Soon actifit.io could become the goto page for many fitness enthusiasts, and particularly for any related Actifit reports.
- Changes to rewarding mechanism partially based on upvote values. A rank based system is in the works to reflect the influence each individual should have in the system, and this would rely on delegation amount, accumulated tokens, actifit report cards, activity count. More details soon on this, and include a community aspect into the reward mechanism.
Final words
We are again happy to bring this to our iPhone owners, we also are looking forward for further support from the community. We hope this report entices many to delegate and/or increase their delegations, to help us grow and cope further with the increasing actifitters due to be rewarded.

This is a great update. It's awesome to see how well Actifit is doing, and terrific that the iOS app is out.
I do have some issues when it comes to style and grammar, and as usual, I'll cite some examples:

This is a clunky sentence, and a long one. Both "although" and "yet" are redundant here, and the double period at the end must be a proofreading issue. Finally!!! I made this whole Steemit account just for Actifit and other short-form DApp content! Now I can be cruising while I'm musing :-) Look out Android users! I just delegated 25 SP to @actifit, let's do this!
Edit: The app seems to work well! Have you thought about introducing a more dynamic leaderboard to motivate people more? For example, underneath the daily top 5, have a page break and display the user's position with those close to the same score. Also, you could add weekly, monthly, and/or all-time leaderboards, as well. Anyway, thanks for the awesome project! Gamification really helps me achieve more, so I'm looking forward to being more active with @actifit!
P.S. I've got a big problem, lol. The tracker was working well at around 3000, and then it somehow went haywire, increasing to almost 2 million?! Have you encountered this problem before and how should I go about fixing it? I didn't want to post the results of my run because it's messed up like this. Is there a way to clear the balance and try again? I also noticed at least one other person is having the same issue, as evinced by the daily leaderboard. See screenshots below:
By the way, it's possible that it's an issue with my phone, which is a 5S probably around 5 years old. Maybe the motion sensor is compromised? (Oh yeah, when I was exercising I held my phone in one hand, because it didn't seem to register in my pocket. Since I don't have an arm strap yet I couldn't use that 😂) I also made a post reporting this glitch just now, and will update it once I receive the team's response. Thank you for all your hard work!!!

Yes we have been notified earlier of this similar issue, we investigated it and are testing out a fix for it :)
If you have further details about he incident, we would love if you share them on discord to confirm our fix.
A fix will be rolled out with upcoming version release.
I downloaded it to my IPhone 8 Plus and it’s not counting my steps. I’m walking my dog! Okay, never mind! I got on the discord group for Actifit and found out you have to give your phone permission for the motion tacking and then reboot your phone. It's working now!

Really great achievments @actifit and I enjoy myself to be part of this awesome community and hope that soon more people will join. I'm really surprised about the regular users of Eth apps...only 300 wow thats so much smaller compared to whats going on here in the Steem Ecosystem. Hopefully we will be rewarded with a rising price in Steem as well...lets cross fingers!!!

I love doing this! I've not gotten to the 5000 activity count mark just yet, but hopefully that will happen soon. I know that this is no excuse, but since my job consists of sitting at a desk all day, and only having fifteen minutes per break, it's not as if I get much time to move and run laps around the office. LOL But what is Velocity HF? I'm going to be looking that one up, now, considering I've never heard of it.
All right, dog gone it. I’m going to check this thing out that all my friends keep posting about. I’ll confess to being a little anti-fitness for myself, but there is something really cool about gamifying increasing daily activity for people who may not naturally be as active as they need to be.
This project and the fitness tracker is a life-changer for me (@actifit-peter).
I am so happy to be part of it and my congratulation to the amazing results and success so far. :-)

Unfortunately iPhone devices before 5s are not supported as they lack the HW for tracking activity. We are considering adding support later based on algorithms.

Actifit ISO have vast role to introduce latest technology's beyond people. I think so they will must keep up to date with matter of time. Technical department no doubt have stragle behind force. Well technically immense minning institute for terminology of guidelines.

@actifit I love this! My housemates and I hand out pamphlets everyday for a good friend who works in real estate and we catch some amazing sun sets. We will definitely be finding out more about this.
How can i use actifit tokens?
When SMTs are released, you can use them for purchases of things like gym memberships, and/or you can cash them out for either steem or fiat currency (I'd cash out for steem, if I were you).
