I don't think the 10,000 AFIT minimum is a good idea except if you don't want new members, at this point in time I don't think anybody is going to invest in AFIT tokens if the incentive is just to get a Steem upvote and I am not talking about myself I have way over 10,000 AFIT tokens so this does not apply to me at all.

I disagree, I joined @actifit before the upvote bot was even an idea and I promise you I will be here long after it is gone. The people who come here just for the big upvotes are worthless anyhow, they will only stay as long as it benefits them financially, they bring nothing to the platform they only suck from it so I honestly don't care if this chases those people away.
However, I do think it will create more demand for the AFIT token causing the price to rise which obviously benefits all token holders. Right now many people are just dumping their coins on the SE market for anything they can get because the only thing they can use it for is an upvote bot.. I believe many of those same people have less than 10k tokens and are hurting the system.. This new rule brings way more incentive for newbies to hold their tokens which will also help to stop the price from continuing to fall.
We all need to work together to make this platform better instead of complaining when a rule doesn't work directly in our favor. This benefits EVERYONE who is a token holder, that is the bottom line!
I was wrong, I thought it meant no upvote from Actifit for anyone with less than 10,000 AFIT, @mcfarhat cleared that up for me. I was not complaining, it doesn't hurt me at all, actually I didn't even know about the upvotes when I started using Actifit, more like a challenge to see how much I could walk, then I noticed you could buy a fairly decent upvote with AFIT which made it even better.
hey @dguran,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
New comers will always be able to earn AFIT, some SP, as well as ZZAN and SPORTS tokens. They won t be able to exchange for votes at the time being though unless they have enough AFIT tokens.
I refer you to my prior comment for a more detailed idea about our decision for increasing the threshold https://steemit.com/actifit/@actifit/actifit-daily-increasing-afit-to-upvote-entry-point-automated-transfer-confirmations-daily-updates#@mcfarhat/pwg5iz
Ok, I thought it meant there would be no votes at all for people without 10,000 AFIT, my mistake.
