On Saturday, March 17th Women's March on the Pentagon endorsers Cindy Sheehan, Mnar Muhawesh, and Ann Wright participated the half-day conference, Stop the War Machine, Save the Planet, in Orinda, CA. The conference was organized by the International Issues Committee of Mt Diablo Peace & Justice Center and Veterans for Peace / East Bay Chapter and hosted by Rick Sterling, vice-chair of Mt Diablo Peace & Justice Center.
This unique conference featured a diverse array of both experts and activists who touched on the following topics: An Overview of the War Machine, How the War Machine Makes Us Less Secure, the Increasing risk of Catastrophe, Countering Censorship and Disinformation, and Challenging the War Machine.
Other notable panelists included Mickey Huff from Project Censored, Eleanor Levine from CodePink, former presidential candidate Ron Paul, and many more.
