Meena Kumari was born on August 1, 1932 in Dr. Gadre's Clinic in Bombay.Meena Kumari wanted to study in school but was compelled to act in Hindi movies as a child artiste.
Meena Kumari went on to act in a total of 94 movies, in a career that spanned from 1939 through to 1972.
In 1952 she got married to Kamal Amrohi.
In 1952 Baiju Bawra – Kumari played the female lead in Baiju Bawra.
In 1957 Sharada – directed by L.V. Prasad, was Meena Kumari's first venture with Raj Kapoor.
In 1968, she was diagnosed with cirrhosis of live.She died in 31 March 1972.
With her immensely talented talent, she has made a permanent place in the mind of every Indian.
