RE: ADSactly Short Story - Hol' Your Cell Show

...making him walk as if he was always trying to occupy more space than he needed.

lol That I can easily imagine and sometimes when I see people like him, I wonder “really?”.

“Please remove your watch, belt and any other jewellery and call any person that can bail you out,” the desk corporal said casually.

At that point I was surprised as well. Instead of treating him as a witness, it was easier for police to treat him the same along with the criminals. However, what happened to Kevin could happen to anyone at any moment and there is nothing you can do about it, but proof your innocence. Overall Kevin can take, what happened to him, as an experience he hopefully wouldn’t have to go through anymore. I’m pretty sure he won’t go near the bunker anymore even with his shop right next to it, not even outside of it.
As always, I enjoyed reading your story @churchboy!

Thanks a lot @milano1113. They would have treated him as a witness if they had any intention of actually prosecuting the crime. They didn't. All they were interested in was taking in as many people as possible. Contrary to what you may have been told, bail is not free at least not in Kevin's country. So to be bailed, some money would have to be paid and it is unrefundable.

Yes, everyone who has been in Kevin's situation always ensure that they don't go through it again.
