Hello everyone, today I just visited a place to preserve elephants in the Sumatran area, namely Aceh, this place has been established for several years, but due to a lack of funds, this place was closed, but because of the sincere efforts and intentions of the residents here to preserve elephants, this place was founded. . This conservation area is called the CRU (Conservation Response Unit).
This place was officially established by the Aceh Environment and Forestry Service. This place is safe from residential areas, so residents will not be afraid if one day one of the elephants from this place is released. However, this place is not a tourist place, so the road or route to get here is very difficult, only for climbers or adventurous people who can come here, the length of the trip takes approximately 3 hours.
The elephant here is a male elephant whose name is momo he is an old male, his very long tusks make him look so handsome, he is a very good elephant, he likes to play and joke with local people, his favorite food is sweet sugarcane, he usually takes a bath every time. day at 5 pm, then he ate and then rested at the place he likes.
The scenery around here makes us even more comfortable to linger here, in this place there are 4 supervisors as well as elephant keepers, they are in charge of taking care of all the elephants here properly, they also look very familiar with the elephants here. I also took the time to talk with the guards here, they said: "We live here on behalf of volunteers, not workers, we never think about salary issues because we sincerely care for and look after the elephants here, they are already part of our family. ". Hearing that statement made me and my friends excited to further preserve the other animals.
