Well, its that time again. I'm packing my bag and getting ready to set out on another great adventure! I'm leaving in the morning to drive to Yosemite national park for the next couple weeks to do a 12 day backpacking loop with my mom and my cousin starting from the Hetch Hetchy reservoir and exploring throughout the northern part of the park. You can see my planned route in the top photo. The green is the trailhead at Hetch Hetchy and our resupply at Tuolumne meadows, the yellow is the route (going clockwise), red dots are where we plan to camp, purple dots are the passes we will cross, and blue dots are the peaks that I want to climb. And then the second photo shows what the area actually looks like via google earth. I plan to try to climb 11 peaks as well as explore the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne river! It should be my most epic adventure of the year by far!
So anyways, I want to use this moment to give a huge THANK YOU to all my followers and supporters here on Steemit! You guys are awesome
. And I want to apologize ahead of time because being in the backcountry the next few weeks means no Steemit posts from me for awhile
. But I want to assure you that I will be back in action writing all about my many adventures as soon as I get back to civilization!
- Thanks again! Your friend and fellow steemian @derekrichardson

Good luck my friend! Bring us a great adventure!
Thank you @anomadsoul! Will do. I've got my GoPro and 10 fully charged batteries ready to go. I'm hoping to get tons of footage, I want to try to get some time lapses, and make a really kick ass youtube video.
love it. have a great trip. I love starting out at Hetch Hetchy no crowds.
Thank you @alaqrab, I really appreciate all your comments and support. This will be my first time starting at Hetch Hetchy so I'm super excited!!
Keep up the great work, this content is exactly what I would like to see. I hope we can get more of the backcountry crowd on this platform. Spread the word while you are on the trail.
