there are plenty of authorities in theology, philosophy, and science, who will pass judgements on everything and make dogmatic assertions about matters which they leave unexamined. most new ideas at first sight appear improbable to most. those who consider themselves able to judge accept only what fits in with their own thought & belief system. they possess the wonderful ability to assume things of which they know nothing
it still the academic “norm” for scientific authorities to reject what is seemingly improbable, strange, or unknown (as every revolutionary idea has been) without first examining it. the scientists call what they cannot explain delusion & the religious call it god. there is only one thing incorrigibly idiotic in this notion: in the general consensus’ & mass majority’ refusal to logically deduce, examine & feel-out the “new” or contrasting perspective
it is important that we should not restrict ourselves to what has already been investigated or “studied”, that we should not reject any one idea just because to us it seems alien, improbable, or unprofitable
the individual’s level of emotional development & intellect, their abilities of deduction & wHolistic objectivity, determine the quality of their experience. most experience’s have reached a point of maturity, a limit of receptivity, held captive in a prison of belief and blind ignorance
