Will Jungle Boy have to make a Heel turn to become the AEW Champion?
Look, I’m not a hater on the Jungle Boy persona. I don’t want you to think that, but for a man who has 50+ wins in All Elite Wrestling, who is tagged with Luchasaurus (a man who I had the pleasure of watching at WrestleCade roughly 4 years ago…). Let’s not forget Mario Stunt, the third member of Jurassic Express.
So, considering this entire group, their story, their matches, can anyone actually see AEW putting the belt on a man who is running a Tarzan-like gimmick? Is this really what could represent a great promotion like AEW? He’s been given all the rubs, the pushes, the matches, but still he comes up short. So here’s what I think: I think Jungle Boy simply paves the way for the Heel turn where we meet Jack Perry. Jack will be mean. He will be ruthless, and he will create one the biggest swerves in AEW history.
Eventually we’re all gonna get tired of Jungle Boy getting just close and never winning. At that point he will become “that guy”.
