So Affinity has stepped up their Adobe crushing game, and released a completely free version. Before Affinity use to be 2 products, Affinity Photo and Affinity Draw, I think. Basically they had a vector and image editor product. The beauty of those were you paid only a one-time price per version with upgrade discounts if there were major releases.

People have been quite concerned since Canva bought Affinity, and with the shutdown and announcement of a new product more people lost their shit. Obviously the only assumption was Canva was going to be the next Adobe.
Turns out they are far sneakier, and Affinity has not only unified their two products but added a third all in one suite. Now you have Vector, Raster and Layout designers in a single product.
Which on top of that is 100% free. Aside from AI features provided from Canva the entire thing is free to use , and available offline also. You get AI features with Canva Pro but frankly no one really needs those things.
For me though Affinity may now be the only one to truly replace photoshop , albeit I guess GIMP might finally wake the fuck up and compete a bit. The other part is the layout feature.
The layout feature is multi-page and that is important because CorelDraw is the only product I know of that can design proper multi-page magazines etc with production exports. Obviously in-design can try but for the contents you need to use illustrator and other nonsense things, their typesetting is also horrid. So Corel is still the only all in one desktop publishing software available today.
Anyway this is all pretty good news so grab your copy and play a bit - Affinity | Professional Creative Software, Free for Everyone
