RE: Why Black Panther Is The Best Marvel Movie Ever & Maybe Of All Time

in #africa7 years ago (edited)

Absolutly, Blackpanther is the #1 movie in the world, incredible, full of power, truth, brilliance, and strength. The movie taught us a lot about pain. The movie is best from Marvel with awesome visuals and epic fight scenes. I think we ourselves forget just how rich and differentiating our life experiences as black diasporic people can be. But Black panther tells a story that doesn't just slap black faces on the front of a poster. This story is about the push and pull between black diasporic peoples as a whole, specifically the relationship between the African-American and the native African. In this way, the film is transcendent.
The most powerful message the diaspora can take from Black panther is that we all must see ourselves in each other. We can not afford to divide ourselves any longer. The film calls us to band together to heal each other, otherwise, we are only doing the colonizers' work for them.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful and amazing movie @humanearl.

I like how you describe it as the push and pull between Africans and African americans. In my experience with my brothers and sisters from the continent it has been nothing but love and acceptance but I know the stigmas that exist.

This film is transcendent which makes it so powerful.
