that is a cool response @jlsplatts
i am not actually here to post, not really my thing unless i have something i really want to say. but i will not ever become a blogger or vlogger.
To me this place should be a means of wealth distribution and that is what led me here. then i found the corruption and abuses, so we decided to hold off on investing until things change. i doubt that they ever will
Well you get out of Steem what you put in. Wether it be posting, curating... it does require some effort and original work. When a user is getting “paid” they can’t be using someone else’s material, or repeating the same thing over and over hoping for upvotes, or creating 100’s of accounts and self-voting a post that consists of just the letter “A”
Facebook and the others are different, they just mine all your info. This place rewards you for providing “good” info to the Blockchain. One person’s “good” may not be another’s but that is just how things work.
I suggest you look into the reward pool and see how that is designed and it may change your mind.
Peace!!
One self upvote a day..... yet look at how many upvotes he gives and also the amount of Spam, plagiarism, vote Farming, bid bot abuse he does down vote. Sometimes you need to look at the “whole” picture. Do I agree with self vote... no I don’t... I think it is unnecessary. I will pass this info on and ask the ? Yet I have no idea about your past, so you may want to plead your case. Old school scammer, spammer, I don’t know. Talk to the guy, he is actually pretty reasonable.
