Rotating Arm Problems

Some time motor drive temperature rises and it show the problem of high temperature of motor drive (issue ON Agilent LC)
**
How to fix:**

  1. Is the rotation arm is physically ok or not. Like is it stuck and the rotating ream is jam or not.
If not ok, then clean the rotating arm movement road with 2-propanol and water 1:1 mixer solvent and wipe it with lent free cloth. The purpose of using lent free cloth is to clean the road without cloth lent on it. If the lent take place on the road of the rotating arm, it will stuck on the motor and damage the motor.
  2. It the rotating part is ok and the other physical thing is also ok.
3.Restart the auto sampler with the power off switch of the modules

Leakage problem in the injection port or Needle seat assembly**

When sample matrix is highly concentrated and viscous then there is a risk of blockage the needle seat and this blocked cause the leakage of the instrument.
In order to remove the blockage
Needly seat need to replace
Or needle seat need to clean.
Cleanning procedures:
Needle seat need to remove.
Removed needle seat have to add in the flow path of the pump so it can generate enough back pressure that remove the blockage.
Strong solvent like Acetonitrile , 2-propanol can be used for the removal process.
Purge through the needle seat with a flow rate at about 4-5 ml/min
If this process does not remove the blockage you can sonicate it for about 30 min with those strong solvent it with be helpful a lot.

Minor problems.& solutions

Rotor seal blockage:
Rotor seal blockage results high pressure, unequal sample delivery to the column compartment as so on the ms and other detector that is use beside the lc.
Also results the carry over for the different injection to injections and for that it shows much and less abundance for the spectrum.

By observing the sign of the lc system, rotor seal blockage can be identify.
**
How to fix:**
Dissemble the injection valve from the auto sampler modules
Sonicate it for about 30 min with strong solvent like acetone, 2-propanol or Acetronitrile.
Assemble the injection valve with the rotor seal
**
N.B:** if this not fix your problem you need to change it .the pore of the rotor seal is so small you can see it but you cannot fix the pore manually.
