The Good Simon

Over the last few years, mostly kicking, screaming, yelling at the TV, and leaving my daughter's house before it was over, I've watched my share of America's Got Talent, the premiere vehicle fo spreading state-speak to America's porridge minded. Every fault was welcomed, every disability showcased, every ingrown toenail exploited, in fact, your chances of progressing seemed directly proportional to the visibility of your emotional rather than your emotable attributes. The whole trans-gender bathroom thing, the fake mass shootings, one after the other, these things all served to keep us off balance, open to suggestion, hardened to the repetitiveness, ready to accept Corona, masks, and this final takedown.
