I still have a post to make about the AI subscriptions that I've been postponing somewhat, just thought I'd make a post now that one's coming up, just some change of plans.
At first I thought I'd make it after most subscriptions go out of the accepted participants, but that may have maybe been a bit on the boring side, to simply list the usernames and links to their repo's (the one's that are public).
Instead I thought I'd wait one month, and those who get accepted again will be able to provide some more details on the things they've been working on. More importantly also my report from Claude going through the commits and checking what they've been doing. This however obviously required that they'd already have surpassed a month of a subscription and are accepted for the next month which so far is only a few users, hence my delay with the post.
There's only been 3 users having their sub renewed so far and their activity has been checked and stored. To give you an example of it, here's mine, keep in mind that most of my repos aren't public but in my case Claude has access to them:
This was made a few days ago, since I've worked towards some of the concerns the report had and some more bugfixes while spending more time on Holozing related stuff.
Either way, just wanted to give you a glimpse of the actual report, think it's best I wait until most of the first months have elapsed and people are looking for their second AI Sub sponsorship before I make the report. Since many have their subs renewed at different times, this may take up until the end of the month to be finished. Til then!
Looks like you have been super active with your AI usage. One thing to consider is that there is one AI coding best practice that would artificially pump the number of commits.
This practice is telling your agent to break down the commits into multiple commits and group them by some criteria that makes sense. This is not to make it look like you are doing more work, but to make it easier for the human reviewer to make sure that AI is doing what you think it should be doing.
This looks like heavy work using the AI agents, but I think also the results can be observed. With the right idea, AI can bring it to market quite fast and shorten design and development times. Now the hard part starts, market it and grow the user base.
A full month for everyone makes sense, otherwise you gotta make a post a week...
Yeah I just mean better to wait until the first month is over for most recipients rather than list all accepted ones before a month has passed.

Interesting reflection. I understand your dilemma about when to write about AI subscriptions. Waiting a month for participants to share more details seems wise, so the report will be more complete. It's great that Claude has access to your repositories for accurate tracking. Thanks for the preview!
