In some ways I'm glad I'm not too far from retirement as my job is likely to change. I just hope I can be secure there until I'm ready to quit as I don't want to have to go job hunting again. Then I have to hope my pension is okay, but the funds are diverse. If the AI stocks crash then a lot of people will get hurt. Meanwhile people are using AI to make music. Can't they leave anything alone? Let humans do what they do best.
I'm not sure we are heading for a Star Trek world as the wealth is being hoarded by billionaires who will bugger off to Mars if the world turns to shit.
I fear for the future of young people.
Something is definitely being built by the billionaires and they keep dropping hints (leaks) about it. Elon Musk is probably supplying a lot of the technical aspect of it. Mars, Moon, Antartica, wherever it is haha.
Ai Music has gotten really good as well. Many content creators no longer license music from musicians to use commercially, they just use ai to generate something "similar" to the track they would have otherwise paid for. It's pretty sad.
Antarctica is paradise compared to Mars. We can't let them wreck the planet for profit and then bugger off.
Artists are being sidelined in the stock image and music field. Machines were not meant to replace our creative skills. I'm turned off by obvious AI imagery, but it's everywhere.
