The 1UP community dApp will make a large airdrop for DTube and the DTube community. From the 280 million UP tokens total supply, @dtube will receive one million tokens, offering free whalepower for future support of the highest consensus DTube videos. The second airdrop of another one million UP tokens is dedicated directly for DTubers.
We will begin the first week (ending at post payout) with this contest:
Create a DTube video about 1UP, what you think about it and how it might affect DTube.
All participants will get 5,000 UP tokens, which will appear in our new 1UP wallet when we launch the dApp. You can make as many videos as you like but only one video will be rewarded.
Stretch-goal 1: 25k First Prize
The best video will win 25,000 UP tokens but only if at least ten different DTubers created a 1UP video this week.
Stretch-goal 2: 7,5k For All
If at least 20 videos are created by DTubers about 1UP, we will increase the reward for ALL DTubers this week to 7,500 UP tokens.
These videos cannot enter for the 1UP #esoteric or #tribevibes community at the same time, as they deal specifically with DTube.
What is 1UP In A Nutshell?
1UP is a new open source communitiy upvoting app where user votes are equal. It daily upvotes the ten highest ranked posts in each community with a smart curation rewards system. We create the UP token based on Steem's upcoming Smart Media Token (SMT) and distribute it to Steemians and communities via various airdrops. UP holders will support community growth and enjoy higher than average returns through smart curation.

I don't exactly understand what 1Up is. I'm new here and I would definitely make a vid about it if I understood it.
1UP is a new open source upvoting system for communities where all user votes are equal. It upvotes the ten highest ranked posts in each community with a smart system for higher curation rewards. To increase this effect even more we create the UP token based on Steem's upcoming Smart Media Token (SMT) and distribute that to Steemians and communities via airdrops.
The founder of 1UP is @flauwy (1UP Creator), creator of the animated Steemy videos and the @smartbee. The main developer is @stoodkev (Main Dev), witness and creator of the popular @steem-plus browser extension. Our community advisor is @meno (Communities) from the Helpie team and our designer is @thewalker (Designer).
1UP is open to all communities but we will feature and daily upvote ten starting communities: Utopian-io, Steem Monsters, DTube, DSound, Promo-Steem, Anarchy, TribeVibes, Esoteric and Indymedia. Other communities will be upgraded over time. All our starting communities will receive UP airdrops with special bounties designed for their content.

Is this a system that users access or will it be a separate system that simply tallies the numbers.
It will be a manual voting platform that eligible users can access. We will use User Authority, the new reputation system, to let people in.
So it's not active yet. When will it go live?

@flauwy, I am not very familiar with #1UP, but yesterday you commented on my #DTube video and you told me about 1UP. Now, I am researching it.
So, 1UP will upvote posts, let's assume that those will be #DTube videos. My question is: "where does the Steem Power of 1UP come from?"
So I still dont understand what up is exactly. So you just upvote steemit content and you get up tokens or how does it work? If there already the steemit community for commenting and upvoting whats the UP token for?
