He took this car with him for his nap! Spending some time outside makes me appreciate the warmth of the indoors... still it feels so good to get outside, even if it's only a few degrees above freezing. !BBH

It's hard to believe it's already December! We had a long rainy season this year and windy/dry/rainbow season just started this week. It'll be a nice change from all the rain, but there's always a weird shift at the beginning on the change of seasons here. Then it takes me a while to realize everyone else has snow and freezing temps while we have sunshine, wind, and cloudless days!
Wow, I've heard of rainy seasons and dry seasons, but "rainbow season" sounds almost magical! I've lived my whole life in Michigan and have grown accustomed to very cold seasons (December - February) and very hot seasons (June - August) and very pleasant weather in between.
The sun feels so far away in December, we actually install old-fashioned incandescent light bulbs in the kitchen to help us with the distant sunlight, we take vitamin D also, which helps seasonal depression. I've come to believe the LED light is not real light at all but artificial. It flickers at a rapid rate that imitates light. It looks solid but is actually light/dark and sometimes we can sense the flicker when we move our eyes around. The more "energy efficient" the LED, the more artificial the light is! I like the cost savings in the bill, but at what ACTUAL cost? I think real light is worth it in the winter months while the sun is so far away. Candles help too. So many people here travel to Florida and other southern States during the winter months and I can understand why!
Does the sun feel far away during the "summer" months in Panama?
