Being alive in today's world means being dependent upon supply chains, grocery stores and other services that deliver goods.
Being self-sufficient is key to taking back a part of your life. We are often too reliant upon others or faceless corporations who do not have our best interests at heart. We aim to live sustainably and in the community we live in.
In order to thrive I have focused my efforts on being more self-sufficient. My goals for 2023 are the garden more, build out some solar panels and stash away more cash for dividend stocks and cryptocurrency. I have been working towards physical and financial sufficiency, and I want to thrive in this pursuit.
Self-sufficiency is key to thriving. I am building skills, increasing my physical fitness and my mental acumen to rise to the challenge. And what a challenge it has been. Over the past 3-years I have been working to turn my property into a mini-honestead. We have installed solar, planted garden plots around the property that can grow crops 6-9 months out of the year and committed to healthy eating. It has been great.
I highly encourage anyone to boost their self-sufficient practices and to learn more. We began learning from experts around us in our community, YouTube videos and information online and in books at the library. My path to being alive and thriving has led my family to a more sustainable way of life we love.
