Yes, it was he, my Arthur, unharmed, and even slightly tanned ...
For a few moments we looked at each other silently, and then rushed into our arms. It seemed to me that my heart would burst from my chest, a soul full of happiness would rejoice. So several minutes passed, then we remembered that we were not alone in the office, so we pulled away from each other, still holding hands.
There was no question of any work on that day. York, chuckling good-naturedly, gave Arthur five days of short-term vacation, slyly wondering if we would have enough time to enjoy communication with each other. But can this be sure? We have not seen God knows how long, since the very moment that we fell into suspended animation during the flight.
In general, without losing a minute more, we hurried to the house where Arthur lived. The situation was more than Spartan, but it was of little interest to us.
We were so absorbed in each other that everything else did not touch us at all. We said, without stopping and interrupting each other, so much we had to tell about those adventures that have happened to us since the disaster. Arthur told me about how he woke up in a small fishing line on the shore of a lake, how long he wandered through the forest deep into the island when he finally found himself in the territory of the observatory. In turn, I also told him about my adventures, which you already learned about earlier.
During the conversations, we did not notice how the night had come, and together with her ... it was time to indulge in love passion. It would Seem, passionless without love affection, we should have pounced on each other with a frenzied passion and indulge in love joys ...
But we did not hurry. Slowly, very slowly, we began to undress each other, gently touching our lips and fingers with hot and tense bodies waiting for pleasure. Striving passionately for each other, we nevertheless tried to stretch the prelude as long as possible, to enjoy first the simple contemplation of our bodies, the sensations of contact with them. We wanted to remember every centimeter, every dimple or mole ..., remember how it was good for us alone there, on Earth.
Finally, the passion that overpowered us reached its peak, and we fell into bliss ...
How long it lasted, we could not say, but it was divine. Then we lay awake for a long time, huddled close together, and interrupting each other, tried to tell as much as possible about how we lived apart. Only closer to the morning we finally fell asleep and slept until noon. The first, actually, Arthur woke up and cooked a terrific breakfast, which brought me straight to bed. Enjoying food, we did not fail to work out and love. Of course, it was not that at night, but still, it was perfect.
Then, putting himself in order, we went for a walk first through the streets of the campus and somehow found ourselves on his outskirts. Further, the path led us from a small forest to the bank of a funky brook. It was warm, birds were singing in the foliage, butterflies and other flying insects, various in color, fluttered around us. In general, there was a real idyll. We settled down to rest at the creek and began to dream about how we will find the opportunity to return home, how soon this can happen. I will not bore you with a description of how these five amazing days went by, they might seem monotonous to you, so I'll go on to tell you about how our quest for a way home went on.
Along the way, we helped York in his work on exploring the expanses of space and in building a spaceport. I must say, its construction was going on quite fast and was completed about six months after the events described above. Simultaneously, the first supersonic spacecraft was created, on which the expedition was to include us. The launch was scheduled for the next few days, and we could not cope with the excitement and experienced about how our first flight in this part of the galaxy will pass.
Finally, this day has come. The team consisted of 25 people, including us. In addition to the commander of the ship - a pilot by profession, there was another co-pilot, navigator, mechanic, I, as a biologist, a doctor, several scientists and members of the staff. The purpose of the flight was to explore the nearby outer space, and the expedition time was calculated for about six months. The plan was to visit several planets in neighboring star systems, including those with which the planet had friendly and commercial relations.
