My entry to the Amazing Nature Contest - March 2020 - #05

in #amazingnature6 years ago (edited)

Hi There.....Are you a fan of Zoos?

I am but I know some of you might say that it's not right to put animals into a Zoo.....and that animals should be out there in the wild.

But I think Zoos are much more aware of the fact that the wellbeing of the animals should come in the first place. And they are making a lot of effort to improve the animals' habitats..... Make them more like in the wild 😄

On top of that, they also make a lot of effort to save wildlife by working together with scientists in the field..... So yes there are pros and cons.

But when I think back at the time when I was in school (ages ago) there was no such thing as thinking about how the animals would feel..... Most animals in Zoos were in small cages..... We didn't really think about that as a bad thing in those days..... To us, it was a normal situation..... We didn't really know any better..... But I am really happy that their situations have improved so much 😍

I was actually inspired today by the Animal planet station on television to make another post for the Amazing Nature Contest..... Don't tell me you haven't heard about it..... Have you been living under a rock 😲

So a long time ago..... In those good old days before we all were locked into our own cages..... Oops homes 🤣

What I wanted to tell you about is when we visited a Zoo a long time ago..... We came across these gorillas..... They were behind glass but I was able to take some great pictures of them

There were only 2 in the enclosure but this one was really coming up to us to have his picture taken..... Well, at least that is what I like to think 😁

You see him coming closer..... Or her..... How am I supposed to know

Oh my, he is looking angry ..... But that didn't scare me a bit..... It would if there wouldn't be any glass between us 😅

But it must have been just a pose cause here he is chilling out a bit

So maybe we should all chill out a bit more..... But before you do..... There is something important I still need to share with you.....I wouldn't want you to be missing out on this very important part of our new Bee Hive..... If you are a real nature lover you must join..... Yes, must..... our Amazing Nature Community..... Just follow this link to the Amazing Nature Community

Those gorillas really look huge and a big scary .. I would also be only feeling well if there was a big piece of glass between us.. but they look magnificent ^^

They are huge when you can see them up close :)

Buen post, amiga.

tx so very much :)

Hello dear friend @seadbeady

I loved your post.

I love animals and I hope the time will come when they will all be released from enclosed spaces and returned to their natural ecosystems.

A scope and we will keep in touch

Tx so much - they would be best free for sure :)

que bellos se ven, aqui en Venezuela ya no hay zoologicos. los animales que habian o quedan estan muriendo. hace como dos años murio una elefante que quedaba en un zoologico de Caracas

such a pitty :)

Zoo’s have a hard time now, new animals are being born and no people to come and visit so sad

That is a big shame indeed - I hope we will be able to visit pretty soon :)

Excellent friendly publication. The images were super as we say the Venezuelans. I personally don't like to see animals in captivity. Good luck in the contest.

tx so very much :)

Well... that is a really tricky question. There are several kinds of zoos. Some exploit the animals, others protect them... 🤔

Fantastic shots. Thanks for your article!

tx for the nice compliment :)
