It's not very difficult to get affiliate income with amazon associates program but it's a lot of work. So it depends on what you exactly mean with easy.
Internet marketing is no rocket science, everyone that has a normal iq and is a bit internet savvy can do it. You are basically selling products but instead everything is online.
But you have to understand that it's no get rich quick scheme. You need to be consistent in order to earn decent money with it. Most people that are successful with the amazon affiliate program treat it like a normal job. It's not that you write a few articles and the money starts flowing in...

I think combination of youtube and steemit can work great for amazon. Because people like to see review video's of a product. And youtube has a lot of traffic.
