America used to be the most respected, and feared, country in the world. While many nations still fear the military might of the United States, do many still respect it?
In the last few years, mainly due to the election of Donald J. Trump, there's been a drastic change in the moral temperament and disposition of our nation, which frankly has been very disconcerting to our allies around the world.
While many nations looked to America for moral guidance, that has all but abated the last few years!
Trump came into power with an America First message, and to the chagrin and surprise of most allies, he's been true to this message.
What has also been appalling both to our allies and many Americans, is how Donald Trump has cozied up to heinous dictators around the world, include Vladimir Putin and the dictator in North Korea, Kim Jong Un.
Does such foreshadow something sinister about the American president or does it show that America realizes that it is no longer the world's sole global power, and thus, need to be more tolerant of other nuclear nations such as Russia, China and others!
So, my question is - Do you think America has lost it respect around the world? And if so, why?
