I do not agree the second pillar is -or can be- the Presidency; it has to be the Supreme Court, where even these kinds of issues can be resolved, justly. Trump is not what the media (including this article from Britain's The Guardian) paint him to be; he is a necessary evil in a World rigged with opposing powers willing to go all the way in de-stabilizing democracies, but the issue repeats itself, and becomes a dilemma precisely this way:

To keep such forces at bay, the President has to have vast powers, but in doing so, becomes less democratic. I for one would not argue with the arguments (redundancy aside) for blasting NK, Persia or even Venezuela's dictatorship off the face of the Earth.
