RE: My Conversation With a Left-Anarchist

in #anarchy8 years ago

I had a read. Do you believe that anarchism is a strict leftist ideology that is completely against private property and profiteering? This article makes it sound like communism

"— you also need to be opposed to exploitation and capitalist private property. As “anarcho”-capitalists do not consider interest, rent and profits (i.e. capitalism) to be exploitative nor oppose capitalist property rights, they are not anarchists."

We both believe in maximum rights for people but (according to theanarchistlibrary) left-anarchism completely restricts a person rights to property and wealth, therefore impeding on the most basic of human rights. Do you believe that having access to public services is more important than having the right to your own property? Also, how would a left-anarchist society ever exist without state? Regular people are not going to give up their right to private property and wealth, therefore your system would be involuntary and tyrannical. Unless you brainwash the population of course.

Sort:

I think, as long as you dont try to force me to comply, you should be free to do as you please.
I will extend the same courtesy to you.
Either my proposal meets your needs or you are free to choose another, but i should warn you that mine comes with 20k hours of labor between the ages of 20 and 50, retirement at 50, and free stuff from day one.

The way i see it is that we keep doing the work, but we stop paying crapitalusts to get it back.
We dont sell our labor for wages, we dont pay to consume.
Will there be excesses? Sure.
Will robots drive starving workers into the streets? No.

If you havent read The Conquest of Bread or Looking Backwards doing so will help flesh out the ideas in a way i cant here.

Unless you brainwash the population of course.

Why do you figure they wasted 12 of your most formative years on shut up, sit still, and repeat after me?
And you defend that choice they forced upon you?
