Muttley Takes His Medication

in #animal-rescue6 years ago (edited)

Muttley is special alright. Since he was a tiny little kitten only a weeks old he has seized. So many in fact his brain has suffered damage. He is not like any other cat we have. HE is overly friendly, very docile and love-mushy.

He eats in a kennel and when he finishes he picks his plate up on one side and drops it. My wife says "convict is finished eating and wants out of his cell". He will continue to pick and drop his plate until you open the kennel and let him out. At which point he gets his medicine. 10 units of Phenobarbital.

Well this is where this video begins. Here you can see how Muttley twice a day after meals gets his meds. Poor thing has had to take this stuff so long it has rotted out all of his teeth but the front 4 canines.

Poor boy... but I think he´s not complaining, as I see it... he´s used to taking his medicines. Thanks for sharing!

A cat has approximately 60 to 80 million olfactory cells (a human has between 5 and 20 million).
