Residents of Sole Village, Waisalla Subdistrict, West Seram District, Maluku are aggravated by animal skin finds that mysteriously transform into a giant worm-like animal. The change is only within a week.
Village Government Officer, Soleh Ahmad Asma, recounts before the skin evolved into an animal, its citizens found a whale carcass on the coast of Sole Village. May 29 last. Residents and fishermen then tried to pull the mammal body into the middle of the sea to avoid carcasses polluting the coast.
The villagers' efforts failed. Boats used by residents unable to attract whale carcasses. But after a few days after that, the carcass was carried ocean currents and left behind is whale skin, measuring 50 centimeters.
"After three days the carcass of the whale drifted by itself without any interest, after drifting off a piece of leather suspected of a whale with a length of about 50 centimeters or socket left behind and stuck to the rock," said Ahmad.
Leather that remained split into two, the one taken by residents and placed in the karamba where fish cultivation. One piece of agi is lined with a net on the beach of Sole Village.
A few days after that, the skins secured in the cages and nets continued to grow and expand. Currently length already five meters.
Oddly enough, the animal's skin is mossy and has scales, its body shape is like a worm that is hard to tell which head and tail are.
"It does not take the form of marine animals in general because there are no heads and tails and even the animals are hairy unlike fish or other marine animals," Soleh Ahmad said.
